Yesterday’s Cannes red carpet for the screening of the film Loving would be a juxtaposition of sizzling vixens in black and red with high slits and plunging necks with demure angels in white baby doll silhouettes.
It was a strong look, together the potential is the best look of the night. It just fell lacking total perfection with a couple under flattering angles, and the length involved a few inches too short.

Kate Moss in Halston and Chopard jewelry at Loving
Kirsten Dunst in Dior
Pretty, but not earth shattering
WORST DRESSED
Chloe Sevigny in Chanel
This was not the best option for Chloe, and her styling didn’t help the situation. She wound up looking like a lady in her mid-forties looking to look like a 10-year old girl. So uncomfortable.
Angela Lindvall in Zuhair Murad
Who doesn’t look wonderful in Zuhair Murad? Her makeup and hair take presctiption point too, so it all just works.
Toni Garrn
Beautiful and sexy
Lottie Moss in Dior
This really is Kate Moss’ little sister. It’s simple, chic, and I like it. Just a tad bit too much time in the front but apart from that, beautiful!
BEST DRESSED
Mischa Barton in Georges Hobeika
It was a close one. Toni Garrn arrived a close second since I’m a sucker for any sexy petal bust gown, and she or he looked fabulous. But Mischa’s Georges Hobeika has this classic elegance to it combined with a sensual aspect in the way the beading and embroidery round the bust create sufficient illusion to still stay timelessly classy.
PHOTO CALLS
I believed the daytime photo call looks were stellar. Ana de Armas’ structural pencil dress was absolute excellence. And Ruth Negga’s metallic pleat outfit moved with such classic grace.
